WHAT IS RESTORATIVE YOGA?
The short answer is, Restorative Yoga is about reducing the amount of stimulation to your body and senses, so you can experience and enjoy a more mindful and fulfilling Life.
Our Life experiences are moving faster than ever as even our commute times to and from work have been narrowed to minutes as we show up for work straight from bed or still in our pajamas. We are accelerating faster than ever and are still left with little time for ourselves, much less time for our families. How quick can we make 'it' happen?
Restorative Yoga teaches us to dial down our lives to a mere 24" x 68" (the size of our yoga mat) and enjoy paying attention to the moment of stillness. Restorative Yoga gives our body peace and rest while in the state of maximum comfort. Restorative Yoga is all about, 'How perfectly comfey can I be?' This is considered a radical practice to the nth degree of supreme and lushish comfort. Not only will blood pressure drop, the stress hormones will drop as well.
Each Restorative Yoga Training Module builds on the next - Level I, II, III and IV with each module consisting of 25 hours and building up to a 100 Hour Restorative Yoga Certification. Each level is a certification in and of itself. You can stay at Level I or work your way up to Level IV.
You absolutely will have plenty of teaching built-in, which you will also be able to apply to your 'E' designation with Yoga Alliance.
This training program will involve alignment, pranayama, sequencing, theory, the yoga sutra's and the energetics of Restorative Yoga.
The first rule of teaching Restorative Yoga is learning to practice Restorative Yoga. Often times we teach what we need to know. This yoga practice is perfect for the power yoga teacher, the teacher who teaches a lot of flow, the teacher carrying the weight of the world on his/her back or the yoga teacher who seeks more peace and less pain in their yoga practice and in Life.
Throughout the 4 Levels of this Teacher Training you will also learn some anatomy, some physiology, about the Systems of the Body, and you will learn how this yoga practice can and will stimulate your intuition.

Your Restorative Yoga Teacher's Testimony "I had been a hot power yogi taking a minimum of one (1) hot power class a day, often times two (2) hot power classes a day. Every yoga challenge that was offered, I was at the head of the pack. My body was sore, tired, whipped and beat. I never felt Good and always felt as though I had been hit by a truck. I never gave my body rest. Maybe on the weekends I rested, but that was not the rest I needed. I was hot-power-yog'ing like someone who would go to the gym and work the same muscles, in the same way, over and over again. Same thing, just the next day. Same muscles, just the next day. Sometimes the same day. Once I was introduced to Restorative Yoga, I was hooked. I had been doing Gua-Sha, a type of muscle stripping to increase circulation and relieve pain. Within a week into my Restorative Yoga practice my body felt better than ever and within a couple of weeks, my 'bruised feeling' and beaten body no longer felt like ancient ruins. Why hadn't I known of this practice before? I didn't know because the people around me didn't know otherwise I would have known. We learn from our surroundings. It is my feeling that the more yoga teachers who know of this practice, the more teachers who will not only help themselves, they will help others as well, simply because they will not be able to keep this practice to themselves. They will want to share it. Living in such turbulent, uncertain and angry times, as yoga teachers it is our duty to get out there and teach yoga, and be the example. This is one more practice in your yoga bag that you can use to help the masses, including those in your own bubble." ~Dr. Loretta Standley - FIAMA, E-RYT200, RYT500, YACEP

HOW LONG WILL IT TAKE TO GET MY CERTIFICATION
Each Restorative Yoga module - Level I, II, III and IV is 25 hours and will last as long as it takes you to complete 25 hours
This should take you 4 months to complete all four (4) training modules.
HOW MUCH IS THE CERTIFICATION?
Each 25 Hour Certification Module is fee is $325.00. Sound high? Think of it this way . . .
10 hours of the 25 hours will be 10 - one (1) hour video’s that you submit for your practicum. The other 15 hours are one-on-one with the teacher (Dr. Loretta Standley - E-RYT200, RYT500, YACEP). 15 hours divided by $325 is $21.66 an hour to train and certify you, which is less than what a teacher earns teaching a studio class. Also, when a yoga instructor has a private session with a yogi, that private session is usually around $60 - $75 per hour. So while you will usually see yoga training modules rolling around $300.00, when detailing the fee, it lends a whole new perspective.
$200 off - If all four (4) modules totally $1300 is paid at the start of the first module, the full 100 Hour Certification is $1100 (saving $200). Also if paid by credit or debit card, the card processing fee will also be charged to the card which can be between $27 - $35. If paid by cash or check, the card processing fee would not apply.
You will receive a Pose-itively Yoga Restorative Yoga Certificate upon completion
WHAT ABOUT COVID AND ANOTHER SHUTDOWN?
